Organizations must obtain the prior written permission of ALA to use the Award seals.

Seals for the Nonfiction nominees, finalists, and winners are available for purchase in the ALA Online Store. What is a nominee? Each year, YALSA announces the five finalists in December. In January, a winner is named from the five finalists. After the winner has been determined, YALSA releases a vetted list of titles that were considered for the award. Find the nominees here.
