Which describes your situation?
Before you begin the process of joining or renewing take a moment to read the following information. It will make the process quick and easy.
Which best describes your situation?
New Member? If you are sure you are a new member joining ALA for the very first time, click the Online button located in the right hand column of this page. You will be taken to a login page. Use the Create a Profile option. Once your profile is created, you will be taken to our secure online membership form to make your selections.
Renewing/Rejoining? If you are an ALA member now, or have been an ALA member in the past, click the Online button located in the right hand column of this page (you need to be logged on to access your record). You will be provided access to your membership record and renewal options. TO RETRIEVE YOUR LOG-IN INFORMATION. If you do not remember your login or password information, use the retrieval function or contact Member and Customer Service at 1-800-545-2433, and select option 5.
Not Sure/Do Not Recall Your ALA Log-In Information? Please do not complete the online membership form. Simply call 1-800-545-2433, option 5, during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Central, and a customer service representative will assist you.
► Please be aware that former members who complete a new membership form without logging in may accidently create a second membership record that places you into an incorrect membership category. In such cases, ALA will contact you to ensure that you have a single, up-to-date, correct member record, which reflects your correct member type and dues amount. While this updating takes place, you may experience delays in members-only access to ALA's website and to ALA Connect.
