STARS' NEWS
The new Professional Competencies for Resource Sharing Practitioners document has been approved by RUSA and the STARS Executive Committee and is now available online.
This guideline defines the professional competencies important for resource sharing practitioners and can be used in staff training, preparation/review of position descriptions, preparing job applications, and/or conducting performance evaluations/goal setting.
The ALA RUSA STARS Codes, Guidelines, and Technical Standards Committee wishes to thank everyone in the interlibrary loan community who provided feedback during the public comment period in Fall 2023.

RUSA STARS Virtual Town Hall - Membership Vote on New STARS Bylaws in 2026
In 2026, the STARS membership get the opportunity to vote on whether or not to replace the current STARS Bylaws (2020) with a revised and updated version. In preparation for the vote, the STARS Organization Committee will host a virtual town hall to discuss the proposed Bylaws.

Meeting will include a brief presentation followed by a Q&A discussion session. Questions regarding the proposed Bylaws can also be submitted to the presenters in advance using this survey. The presentation portion of the meeting will be recorded.
