ALSC Seeks Proposals for Practitioner Education Guide for Library Workers Supporting Emerging Readers

CHICAGO - The Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) invites proposals from qualified researchers to develop a practitioner education guide for library workers. This guide will translate evidence-based research on skills needed for school-age children to become fluent readers into practical approaches that support the acquisition of these skills in emerging readers and inform ways library workers can support those skills, especially in the public and school library environments. 

The selected researcher will submit a report summarizing their findings along with training materials to be used in the library field.
