CHICAGO — On Tuesday, January 16th, 2024, join the American Library Association (ALA) in recognizing and celebrating the eighth annual National Day of Racial Healing (NDRH). Originally launched in 2017 by the W.K. Kellog Foundation, NDRH is an opportunity to bring all people together to inspire collective action and reflection towards creating a more just and equitable world. The holiday is rooted in the work of the Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation (TRHT) practices, with the clear understanding that racial healing is the core of racial equity.

ALA invites you to attend National Day of Racial Healing 2024: Creating Space for Shared Reflections, a virtual panel discussion made up of ALA committee members, partners, and round table representatives, on January 16, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. CT. Our panelists will take the hour to answer questions about their own perspectives and experiences involving racial healing and equity. ALA hopes that you consider attending as part of your National Day of Racial Healing acknowledgment.

Registration is open so interested participants can secure their spot by filling out the form to receive the webinar link.
