CHICAGO- The Reference and User Services Association (RUSA) is delighted to announce that the formal work of relaunching the RUSA journal RUSQ has begun, and the next issue is scheduled to be published in January 2024.

The RUSQ journal has been on hiatus since the last issue, RUSQ Volume 59, No 3/4, was published in December 2021. Through the support of many dedicated and passionate volunteers who were committed to finding a new path forward for RUSQ, it is now anticipated the next issue will be published in January 2024.

A new RUSQ Editor, Barry Trott, has agreed to serve a 3-year term and lead the effort of the relaunch.  Applications from RUSA Members are now being accepted through March 31st for the new RUSQ Editorial Board.  The goal will be for the Editorial Board to be in place by April 2023.

RUSA is excited to soon be producing RUSQ again and providing a venue for research related to user services. RUSQ is an important part of RUSA’s future.  Any questions regarding the RUSQ journal may be sent to rusq@ala.org.
