CHICAGO – Applications for the American Association of School Librarians’ (AASL) 2022 awards are now available. AASL members are encouraged to nominate a colleague or themselves to be lauded for their outstanding talent and dedication to the profession as part of this prestigious awards program. AASL awards and grants recognize excellence and showcase best practices in the school library field in categories that include collaboration, leadership, and innovation.

Applications are now open for:

CHICAGO – Mernie Maestas, school librarian in Missouri, recommended American Association of School Librarians (AASL) membership to a colleague and in return has been drawn as the grand prize winner of AASL's Share the Wealth campaign. The grand prize package includes complimentary registration, roundtrip airfare, and a three-night hotel stay to the AASL National Conference.

CHICAGO – The Friday general session during the 2021 American Association of School Librarians (AASL) National Conference will give attendees an intimate look at what administrators need and expect from their school librarians and school libraries and how administrators can empower a school librarian’s leadership role to impact all learners. Six administrators from across the country will participate in an engaging and interactive conversation sponsored by Sora, by OverDrive Education.
