WASHINGTON, D.C.―The innovation economy, digital learning and computer science, and even the future of the Library of Congress are all timely topics for this election season. The American Library Association (ALA) will debate each at its first national policy convening on April 12 and 13, 2016.
How do we develop better solutions that build economic opportunity for entrepreneurs and “upskilling” workers? How do we expand the digital learning prospects of young people to feed creativity and innovation? And what are tomorrow’s needed roles for the Library of Congress in an increasingly digital society? National policymakers, researchers and advocates will take on these questions and prospects for the next presidential Administration.
