Criteria

Nominees must be current, personal AASL members and are currently working or have worked in the school library field.

Timeline & Process

  • An open call for nominations will be held January 7 through February 1, 2019. 

  • Finalists will be selected by the Social Media Recognition Committee and announced February 22.

  • From February 22 through March 15, members of the school library community and the public are invited to post endorsements.

  • Those receiving top recognition will be announced during School Library Month on April 1, 2019, and will be recognized during the ALA Annual Conference in Washington, DC.
