Formed as a merger of the Library Binding Discussion Group and the Physical Quality & Treatment of Library Materials Discussion Group in 2008.

ALCTS values committed and active committee members. Qualified members are welcome to volunteer to serve on the Book and Paper Interest Group. Members must be a member of ALA and PARS and have a professional position related to the field of book and paper preservation and/or conservation.
