YALSA is your source for training and consulting in services for teens. Our training and consulting portfolio includes:

  • Free, online training videos: YALSA Academy's training videos are made by librarians and library staff for librarians and library staff. Topics include advocacy, collection development, and more. Learn more about YALSA Academy.
  • Face-to-face institutes: YALSA offers face-to-face training! You provide the attendees and the space; we'll provide training materials and a content expert. The following full-day workshops are available for licensing from YALSA: Beginners' Guide to Teens and Libraries; Get Graphic @ your library; Power Up with Print; Speak Up, Stand Up, Step Up: Advocating for Teens; and Teens & Tech: Current Trends.   • Training kits: Bring the power of YALSA to your library! YALSA's new Young Adults Deserve the Best trainking kits are self-paced instructional kits provide customizable PowerPoints with a complete script and optional group activities.
