Invest in your career or show your support for library services to teens and join YALSA! YALSA is a division of the American Library Association, and YALSA's goal is to make all libraries awesome for teens! Here's a quick snapshot of how we do that. YALSA/ALA dues start at $65 per year, and everyone is welcome to join. Contact Letitia Smith to see what discounted dues rates you may be eligible for: firstname.lastname@example.org or 312.280.4390
YALSA has dozens of ways for members and supporters to get involved, including many virtual participation options. Whether you choose to volunteer to gain leadership experience, give back to the profession, or build ties with other members, YALSA relies on you to help support the association and make a positive difference in serving teens through libraries. Watch a free video on getting involved in YALSA and making the most of your membership, featuring members Jack Martin and Kate McNair.
Each year YALSA offers more than $205,000 in grants and awards to members and sponsors two Spectrum Scholars and an Emerging Leader, via funds provided by Friends of YALSA. YALSA members are also eligible for scholarships, awards and grants from the American Library Association.
