Friends of Libraries groups have their very own national week of celebration! United for Libraries will coordinate the 21st annual National Friends of Libraries Week Oct. 18-24, 2026. The celebration offers a two-fold opportunity to celebrate Friends.

Foundations typically differ from Friends groups in that they raise larger amounts of money through higher end fundraising such as major gifts for endowments, implementing planned giving campaigns, and sponsoring higher profile ticket events.
