United for Libraries Member Benefits

How United for Libraries Membership Works

There are two basic types of membership - personal and group. Personal membership is for those who wish to be active in ALA and United for Libraries. Personal members first join ALA and then join United for Libraries. Personal members not only gain access to United for Libraries member benefits and resources, they can also vote, serve on committees, and stand for election to the United for Libraries board. Group members join United for Libraries directly for access to member benefits and resources only. If you have any questions about what type of membership is right for you, please call (800) 545-2433, ext. 2161 or email united@ala.org.
