United for Libraries Corporate Sponsors

As a nonprofit organization, United for Libraries depends heavily on the financial support of its corporate sponsors. In return for their generosity, we provide them with connection to our membership and give them high profile at national library conferences and through our newsletter. Many corporate sponsors extend their generosity to our members by offering significant discounts on products and services or by offering grants such as our Kingsolver Award sponsored by HarperCollins, or the Baker & Taylor Awards. Corporate sponsorship begins at $2,000.

United for Libraries surveyed our Friends of the Library group members in 2012 to find out how much money they were raising for their libraries in the preceding year. The results were astonishing! Out of 442 surveys, the total raised was $21,702,328 – that’s an average of $50,120. And that’s after we took out the highest amount raised ($5,000,000) and the lowest amount raised ($135).
