Judi Moreillon

She has served as a school librarian at all instructional levels, as well as a classroom teacher, district-level librarian mentor and literacy coach. For twenty-one years, Moreillon taught preservice graduate-level school librarians as well as children’s and youth services public librarians.

Moreillon is being honored for her exemplary contributions to the fields of literacy and school librarianship. She is a passionate advocate for the roles that literacy and school libraries play in a child’s education, from birth through adulthood. Her considerable influence on how school libraries approach reading, from an instructional standpoint as well as reading for pleasure, is well known to school library professionals.
