2018 Recipient(s)

Sara White

Youth Services Senior Librarian at the Seminole County Public Library

Ms. White will use the grant to attend the Power Up conference in March 2019.  This is “a conference in leadership for youth services managers and staff.”  Ms. White has been interested in this conference since she learned about it as an ALA Emerging Leader, where she was exploring “the intersection between youth librarianship and leadership.”  As stated by Ms. White: “My entire job is to be a leader of library youth services, so the chance to attend a training where my responsibilities, challenges, and potential are addressed so specifically would be a dream come true.”
