An informational pamphlet specifically written for parents and caregivers to provide an introduction to computational thinking and how it relates to early literacy skills. Includes activities.
This pamphlet can be used as an independent resource for families or in conjunction with computational thinking, coding, or STEM family programs. A resource for families and computational thinking novices, the pamphlet includes four components: decomposition, pattern recognition, algorithm design, and abstraction. Each component is defined, includes activities that explore the skill, explores how it is related to early literacy skills, and picture book links to the computational thinking skill.
