Headliners

  • On August 1st, Marne Grinolds started her new job as a Reference and Instruction Librarian at Ohio University’s Alden Library where she is also the Latin American Studies Bibliographer. Marne previously worked as a temporary Reference Librarian at the University of Iowa’s main library.
  • Emily Rimland has three exciting items to share. First, she received her MLIS from the University of Pittsburgh in August. In September she started working at Penn State University as a temporary Reference Librarian at the Physical and Mathematical Sciences Library and the Gateway Library. On October 15th, she married Jeff Rimland, in a barn no less, and became Emily Rimland (maiden name Forwood).
  • Katherine Clemens married Tim O’ Clair in May and is now Katherine Clemens.
  • Terry Buckner (Circulation Librarian) and Tiana French (Reference Librarian) at Bluegrass Community and Technical College in Lexington, Kentucky have two accomplishments to report. Both were promoted to Assistant Professor on July 1, 2005. They also received the Kentucky Libraries Award for the outstanding article “Enlivening Your Academic Library” which was published in Kentucky Libraries, a peer reviewed journal.
  • Dr. Caterina Bristol (Montgomery, AL) was recently awarded a travel grant for the Southeast Chapter of the Music Library Association to attend the SEMLA annual meeting in Memphis, TN.
  • Angela Frederick, a new member of NMRT, recently started her first professional position as a children’s librarian with the San Antonio Public Library.
  • Sasha R. Matthews recently became a Librarian I at the Chesapeake Central Public Library in Chesapeake, Virginia.
  • Erin Ellis accepted the position of Social Science Librarian at the Anschutz Library at the University of Kansas. She began work on August 1st.
  • Jeanette Ho received a promotion and tenure at Texas A&M University effective September 1st.
  • Jessica Kopecky, a KC Research Librarian with the Kansas City Public Library, married Robert Tipton on September 4, 2005, in Leawood, Kansas.
