A reception will follow immediately, The annual award is administered by YALSA and sponsored by Booklist Magazine.

Enjoy coffee and meet with YALSA's award winning authors! This informal coffee klatch will give you an opportunity to meet authors who have appeared on one of YALSA’s four annual selected lists or have received one of YALSA's six literary awards. Attendees will sit at a table and every 3 or 4 minutes, a new author will arrive to talk about their upcoming book!

YALSA's President's Program: Giving library workers tools to re-build youth social capital and honoring collective care while helping support the new YALSA Strategic Plan

YALSA's outgoing President, Kelly Czarnecki will share the highlights of her presidential theme - Giving library workers tools to re-build youth social capital and honoring collective care while helping support the new YALSA Strategic Plan. Members of the YALSA Presidential Task Force will participate in a panel discussion. There will be an interactive opportunity where attendees will be invited to crowdsource ideas on programming for teens that build social capital. There will be breakout areas in the room for attendees to be in smaller groups to ask more in-depth questions on services and programs that will contribute toward re-building teen social capital.
