Frequently Asked Questions about WrestleMania Reading Challenge

Q: Do we have to turn the reading logs or pledge forms into YALSA or WWE?

A: No, neither of those documents needs to be submitted to YALSA or WWE. They are for librarians and educators’ personal use to track the reading progress of their tweens and teens. YALSA recommends that you collect the pledge forms and create a wall display of them as a reminder to the tweens and teens as well as to celebrate their commitment to reading.

Q: Where should we send the contest entries?

A: YALSA, 50 East Huron, Chicago, IL 60611

Q: Is there a registration fee?

A: No. there is no registration fee

Q: How can I participate?

A: If you did not register for the challenge before July 31, 2011 then your organization is not eligible to participate. YALSA/WWE only had funds to develop and ship a certain amount of resource and prize packs. We only created enough resource and prize packs for each registrant. You’re welcome to participate in next year’s challenge. Registration will open up the second week of April, 2012 and will run through July 2012. During that time the online registration form will be available from www.ala.org/wrestlemania.

Q: How can I get a WWE Superstar to visit my school or library?

A: WWE may be able to accommodate you, depending on where you’re located and what their travel schedule is. Please be aware that WWE does not take requests for specific WWE Superstars. If you’d like to request a visit, please email inyourcorner@wwecorp.com. In your message, be sure to state that you have registered to participate in the WrestleMania Reading Challenge.

Q: I am a student and I’d like to be in the WrestleMania Reading Challenge. How can I do that?

A: Sign up to participate at your local school or public library. If they don’t know anything about it, encourage them to visit www.ala.org/wrestlemania to learn about the challenge.
