Frequently Asked Questions
What is The Teens' Top Ten and how do I participate?
The Teens' Top Teen is essentially a "teen choice" list of ten recommended readings. So where do you come in? Well, since this is a teen choice list, of course you get to choose!
Here's how it works: Every April we release a list of nominated books. From this nominated list of approximately 25 books, teens everywhere, like yourself, then can vote and choose your favorite books of the previous year to be on the 'Teens' Top Ten' list. So if you want your favorite book to be on the top ten list, get reading and spread the word!
When are the nominated books announced?
The list of nominated books will be announced in April every year on the Thursday of National Library Week. Mark your calendars!
When can I start voting for my favorite books?
Great question! We know you're eager to vote for your favorite books so here's the deal:
You can begin voting for your favorite books online, in August. We'll keep you posted on the exact date when it comes closer to. The link will be posted on our main page here.
When will the 'Top Ten' be announced?
The winners of the Teens' Top Ten will be announced during Teen Read Week™ (which you should also participate in!). Teen Read Week takes place October 13-19 of this year (2013).
