Addressing mental health has become so critical over the past several years. Teens deal with major life changes and tremendous stress. Autistic teens face additional challenges - many of which have been exacerbated by the effects of the pandemic. Our teens need support, now more than ever, and our libraries can serve as essential safe spaces. People are talking more about the importance of mental health, but how can we keep this important conversation going? We must update our collections to better represent our teens’ experiences. Your programming can promote empathy and compassion among all library patrons. By taking this e-course you will walk away with the tools to make your library a better place for everyone.

No Kid Hungry’s Center for Best Practices created a space just for libraries! This webpage houses information for libraries on both the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP or Summer Meals) and the Child and Adult Care Food Program At-Risk Afterschool Meal Program (CACFP At-Risk or Afterschool Meals). Learn more about each program and how libraries can share their strengths to increase access to healthy food in their communities. Planning and implementation resources are also available along with training opportunities. Check out the webpage today! Have feedback on the website or want to share a resource from your state?
