International ISBN Agency

About

Since the development of MARC and creation of OCLC in the mid-20th century, librarianship has relied upon standards and interoperability to enhance both the finding and sharing of bibliographic information. Brian Green has contributed greatly to the growth of standards and interoperability through his leadership roles with EDitEUR and the ISBN Agency. His work with data exchange in non-bibliographic areas has improved life for both publishers and libraries. Brian's continuing work with the ONIX family of standards is leading us into 21st century opportunities for even better exchanges and a better understanding of the interconnectedness of the two worlds.
