Nancy Gibbs' contributions to the acquisitions profession are reflected in the leadership role she has played in academic acquisitions librarianship and in her long service record to ALA and other professional associations.
Nancy has been a proactive voice for acquisitions concerns related to evaluating "big deal" contracts for electronic journals, building publisher/vendor relationships, and introducing e-books into the academic
