Hollins College in Roanoke, Virginia's first Literary Landmark is recognized for its historical influence on American literature.
During the dedication the executive director of the Virginia Center for the Book, Deborah Hocutt, acknowledged Hollins's reputation for launching many powerful voices in literature.
