The United for Libraries/SAGE Academic Friend Conference Grant enables a Friend of a college/university library to attend the ALA Annual Conference. Applicants must be active in their college or university Friends of the Library group, or be college/university library staff members who work in development. A grant of $850, plus full Annual Conference registration, will be awarded to the recipient.
Requirements for application:
- The applicant must be a member of the college/university Friends of the Library group, or a college/university library staff member that works with the Friends of the Library or in development.
- The applicant must be a first-time attendee of any ALA conference (Midwinter or Annual).
- The applicant must include a recommendation from a board member of the college/university Friends of the Library group, or the college/university library director.

The applicant must include a one-page summary of their activities in the Friends or in development.
- The applicant must complete an official release form.
Applications must be received by Jan. 15, 2018.
