The United for Libraries Programming Committee is seeking program proposals for the 2022 ALA Annual Conference.
As the organization supporting Library Trustees, Friends groups, and Library Foundations, United for Libraries is looking for program submissions that address the following topics:
- Board Governance: Equity-Diversity-Inclusion (EDI) during recruitment, EDI board education, creating/revising policies, orientation/onboarding.
- Fundraising: Strategies/tips during COVID, virtual programs, signature events, trends, programming.
- Advocacy efforts: Friends/Foundations/libraries working together, strategies for local initiatives, empowering advocates.
- Creating Library Spaces/Capital Campaigns: What changes need to be made due to the pandemic, expansion and/or meeting needs of vulnerable citizens.
The program submission site is now open; for FAQs on submitting a proposal, tips, proposal guidelines, etc., visit https://2022.alaannual.org/call-education-program-proposals.
Thank you all for your support of United for Libraries’ efforts to serve our members. For more information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline to submit a proposal is October 1, 2021.
While the ALA Conference Committee is planning an in-person conference in Washington, D.C., we at United for Libraries are also planning to host a United for Libraries Virtual Event, as we did in Aug. 2021. We will send out a separate call for proposals for our virtual conference in the coming months.
