Two characters meet in a world and discover a surprising object. What happens next? It’s all up to students, who have the opportunity to use their imagination and creativity to code their own story.
Hour of Code is a fun way to introduce your students to the world of computer science. CS First’s new activity encourages creativity in storytelling so youth can connect learning to code to their own interests. Using CS First’s tutorial videos and Scratch, a block-based coding language, anyone can become storytellers and programmers. The activity is available in both English and Spanish, and uses Scratch 3.0, a new and improved version of the Scratch tool. Scratch 3.0 features new design libraries, functionality on different devices and has many more fun tools. The new Teacher site provides step-by-step instructions on how to bring this to your library or classroom.
