Spending Grant Funds

Your use of the grant funds should align with the plans you outlined in the Budget narrative section of your grant proposal.

We understand that sometimes things change. If you anticipate a variance of more than 10% of the total award amount (i.e., $100) in any of your planned expenses, please submit a request in writing to publicprograms@ala.org.

The following templates can be used to share the news that you have received an LTAI: Women's Suffrage grant and to briefly explain your plans. You can distribute these any time after ALA announces the grant. Note: Feel free to tweak wording but please keep ALA and NEH acknowledgments, tags, and hashtags in place.

If you create your own promotional materials for your grant, please include proper logos and acknowledgment.

Acknowledgment to use in print materials and verbal credit during programs: LTAI: Women’s Suffrage is a humanities discussion project from the American Library Association (ALA) supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH).

Logos: Grant recipients are authorized to use logos only for LTAI: Women's Suffrage project purposes for the duration of the grant. Please use logos in print material and programming material (presentation slides, handouts, etc.) for your project.

Gentle Reminder about Copyright

The American Library Association is the copyright owner of all the essays and annotations associated with the "Let's Talk About It" themes. The credit lines embedded in the program materials and/or sponsor and funder logos must remain on all published (print and web) materials derived from these "Let's Talk About It" themes.
