Insurance
In a Nutshell: The Worlds of Maurice Sendak
Site Support Notebook
ALA carries insurance on the exhibit in transit. If an exhibit host is determined to be at fault in damage or loss, then the host site will be responsible for paying costs to replace or restore parts of the exhibit. ALA will arrange for necessary repairs to the exhibit. Replacement of individual panels is approximately $275; replacement of panel bases is $35; replacement of a shipping box is $160. Shipping is added to all charges.
ALA encourages host sites to review insurance coverage prior to receiving the exhibition. Some exhibit sites add a rider to their insurance policy for the exhibit period, but ALA does not require sites to do this. The value of the exhibit is $3,000. Please direct any questions about exhibit insurance to Sofiana Krueger at skrueger@ala.org
