A New Addition

By Teresa Koltzenburg | It's a special day here at ALA TechSource. Not only did Jenny Levine begin at ALA today in her new job as Internet Development Specialist and Strategy Guide, but also today Michelle Boule, of Wandering Eyre Blog fame, officially starts as a contributor to this blog. (Watch your aggregator for her first post about utilizing committees to influence technology-related decisions.)

ALA TechSource Blog Welcomes Michelle Boule I first "met" Michelle when I interviewed her for a post about the ALA Library 2.0 Exploration. We saw each other F2F for the first time at ALA Annual in New Orleans at the very literary Carousel Piano Bar and Lounge in the historic Hotel Monteleone on Rue Royale in the French Quarter.

Michelle currently works as a Social Sciences Librarian at the University of Houston Libraries. She notes, on Wandering Eyre's About page, "...though like many librarians, I do much more than what my job title implies. I juggle the reference desk, teach classes on information literacy (students) and technology (staff), organize open workshops, act as a liason for the African and African American Studies Program at my university, do collection development for the aforementioned subjects, serve on ALA committees, and keep up with the tech world in libraries, all in the same day."

As the editor of ALA TechSource, I am excited and pleased to extend a warm welcome to Michelle!
