The Public Library of Charlotte & Mecklenburg County—which has a 'Gaming Zone' and a Gaming Zone @ PLCMC blog—is extending an invitation to staff from neighboring libraries to join PLCMC staff for a Technology Summit on Library 2.0 early next month (August 3, 2006).
The afternoon session will feature Michael Stephens (Tame the Web) and Michael Casey (Library Crunch) and include such sessions as: "Toward Library 2.0: Planning, People & Participation" (Michael Stephens); "Library 2.0/Web 2.0 Technologies at the Branch Level" (Michael Casey); and PLCMC director of public services technology Helene Blowers will present "Learning 2.0."
