I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as your new editor. I’ll be overseeing this blog, as well as future issues of Library Technology Reports and Smart Libraries Newsletter. I am thrilled to be aboard and to be reaching out to the global library technology community.
A little about myself: I am a native of the Chicago area and the son of a librarian. I did not think of becoming one myself until after college, when I got a job working on a bookmobile, and realized the library was the place for me. I’ve always been a technophile, and when I attended the University of Illinois Graduate School of Library and Information Science my technological and professional interests began to merge. I came to ALA from New York, where I was working in digital media production for a large publishing company.
