Revisions: Managing Award Versions in Awards and Grants
As you finish your Award Update, scroll down to Revision information. Please include a brief note in the Revision log message field that reflects the nature of your revision, in case future authors need to quickly understand your updates. It is the way version history on the Award is tracked for future reference. You may notice that the default setting is for your revision to go into pending mode and not be published until you approve the updates. If you are only correcting typos and are not adding any new award information, change the radio button to “modify current revision, no moderation.
However, if you are adding new, updated award information, you can select Create new revision, no moderation to make your update visible on the next Cron run, which can take up to 4 hours, depending on the section of the site. That way your update can be recorded. No further steps will be needed for your changes to be visible to the public.
