As an ALA staff member, you have access to Production Services any time you need to create modern and engaging materials to share with your segment of the library community. Available fee-based services include:
- graphic design
- custom branding and logo design
- document creation and layout
- Informz eblasts and templates
- copyediting and proofreading
- journal and newsletter publishing (print and online)
Although we are a unit of ALA Publishing, our purpose is to provide internal support to everyone at ALA (including DC, Connecticut, and Philly) and most of our projects are done in collaboration with the various divisions, offices, and units outside of Publishing.We offer affordable pricing and bring added value with our years of ALA-focused experience and knowledge. The PS team is located on the fourth floor of the 50E building. We’re here in the office Monday through Friday during business hours. You’ll work directly with a PS team member to discuss your needs, develop your ideas, establish a timeline, and keep your projects on schedule. If you’re not physically in Chicago, we will work with you remotely.

Please use the Production Services Request Form to submit a new request to the ALA PS in-house team. If you experience any difficulty completing the online request form, please email productionservices@ala.org for assistance.
Most design and production requests are billed at an hourly rate of $59. All fees are paid via IUT using the budget line(s) you provide. We handle the rest and coordinate transfers each month with the Accounting team. If you would like project quote, please contact productionservices@ala.org.
