Navpods
Use the Navpod content type to add a new sidebar Navpod to this site.
Note: The ala.org homepage only has room for three navpods displayed at a time in one row.
To create a Navpod, follow these steps:
- Log in and click the “Content” link in the admin menu.
- Click the “+ Add content” link.
- Click the “Navpod” link.
- Enter your text for the header for the Navpod in the “Title” field.
- Click “Choose File” from the Image section. Once you have selected the 150x150 pixel image file from your computer click “Upload”.
- Enter your text content into the “Body” area. For more on formatting your text, review the formatting content section.
- Enter action item text (i.e. Donate Now, Learn More) in “Link Title” field.
- Enter URL to link Navpod to in the “Link URL” field.
- Update “Weight” to determine what location navpod should appear (left=1, middle=2, right=3).
- Enter which pages to display navpod on in the “Pages” tab.
- Select “Only the listed pages”.
- Enter <front> to display on front page or enter page name (no slash “/’ before page name, i.e. “about”).
- Confirm Published is checked.
- Click “Save” at the bottom of the page.
- Flush Cache to see changes.
- Navigate to basic page associated with the navpods from step 10.
- Note: to place navpods on content types other than basic pages, contact support.
- Click the edit tab on the basic page.
- In the “Page Layout” tab, located “Navpod page location“ settings.
- Select one of the following locations for Navpod placement: "Below Main Page Content," "Above Main Page Content," or "Right Sidebar."
- Click save at the bottom of the page.
- Confirm that the Navpods appear in the selected location.
