Make Budget Emails Stand Out

Add a conditional format rule to their ALA Budget messages.  

Why would I do this?

If you are using the full Outlook client, you can really your messages from the ALA Connect Budget group, so it stands out and is easy to see when you as a Unit Manager receives them. Check out the screenshot below for how it will appear. 

How do I do this?

  1. From Outlook, choose the View tab.
  2. Choose View Settings from the ribbon.
  3. In the resulting window, choose Conditional Formatting
  4. Choose Add in the pop-up to create a new formatting rule for incoming mail.
  5. Click the Condition button to tell Outlook what messages you want to stand out.
  6. In the first field, entitled, Search for the words: and the text, [ALA Connect] Budget and Planning.
  7. Change the In: field to: in Subject
  8. Click OK. This will return you back to the Conditional Formatting window.
  9. Click the Font button, and change the font face, color, size in a way that will make this message pop out.
  10. Click OK and return to your inbox. You should see the change in messages that fall under this new condition.
