eLearning
Use the elearning content type for an online learning course, webinar, etc.
To create eLearning content, follow these steps:
- Log in and click the “Content” link in the admin menu.
- Click the “+ Add content” link.
- Click the “ELearning” link.
- Enter the header for the page in the “Title” field.
- Select options for “Delivery Method”, “Format”, “Credentials”, and optionally use checkbox to indicate if free.
- Enter Start Date and Time.
- Enter your text content into the “Long Description” area. For more on formatting your text, review the formatting content section.
- Choose between headers “Learning Outcomes” and “Takeaways” in the dropdown menu.
- Enter your text content into the “Learning Outcomes Content” area.
- Optional: Enter your text content into the “Who Should Attend Content” area.
- Optional: Select option from “Instructors Heading” dropdown and enter your text content into the “Instructors Content” area.
- Enter the “Cost” in the Registration section text area.
- Enter your text content into the “How to Register” area.
- Enter your text content into the “Tech Requirements” area.
- Optional: Select “Credits Heading” and enter your text content into the“Credits Content” area.
- Enter your text content into the “Contact Content” area.
- Optional: Enter text into “Sponsor Heading” and add your text content into the “Sponsor Content” area.
- Enter your text for “Listing Heading” and “Short Description”. The Title & Short Description (3-6 sentences) fields below display on the listing pages in the Online Learning section of the website. They will not display on your course information page.
- To add a graphic for your article click “Choose File” from the Image section. Once you have selected the file from your computer click “Upload”.
- Click on the image and drag to mark how the image will be cropped.
- Enter required metadata from the “Metadata” tab (including event date if the elearning event is icon live so that it will show up in elearning tabs). See the ALA Metadata section for more details.
- Select the “ALA Units” and “Controlled Taxonomy”, you’d like to tag as associated with your ELearning content from the “Taxonomies” tab.
- Click “Save” at the bottom of the page.
