Step 1 – Log in to iMIS
Step 2 – Click on Customers (Make sure that they do not already have a membership with ALA)
Step 3 – Click New
Step 4 – Choose Prospect Member as Member Type
Step 5 – Fill in user info (must include name, address, and email address)
Step 6 – Click Save
Step 7 – Click User Credentials
Step 8 – Click Red Plus Sign to Create Username and Password
Step 9 – Create a Unique Username and a Password for Prospect Member to Log on to ALA Connect
Step 10 – Add Prospect Member to any Committees they should have access to (This step can be skipped if Prospect Member needs access to a ALA Connect Managed Community)
Step 11 – Have the Prospect Member Log into ALA Connect
Step 12 – They will need to agree to the Terms of Use before they can be found in ALA Connect
Step 13 – (If Needed) Add Prospect Member to ALA Connect Managed Community
