About
The scholarship is to be given once a year to a Masters degree candidate in Library Science who intends to work professionally with media collections in libraries.
The purpose is to provide financial assistance and encouragement to developing media librarians.
This scholarship honors the legacy of deg farrelly and his commitment to media librarianship, and the preservation of and access to media materials - a commitment shared by both AMIA (Association of Moving Image Archivists, an organization not affiliated with ALA) and FMRT (the ALA Film & Media Round Table).
You can apply for all ALA Scholarships through the single online application hosted by the ALA Scholarship Program. The scholarship process is open annually from September 1st - March 1st.
