The 2006 Midwinter Social was held on Saturday, January 21, at the Hard Rock Café in San Antonio, Texas. The Hard Rock was a great choice for the social – NMRTers could mingle at the bar area upstairs, or move outside to the porch and catch a great view of the San Antonio River.
Lucky attendees won door prizes and hungry ones munched on light refreshments. All who attended looked and sounded like they were having a great time and expressed their enjoyment of the Social. Chrissie Anderson Peters, the Midwinter Social Chair, was very happy with the large turnout (over 85 people!) and the great service from the Hard Rock Café. Nanette Donohue said, "It’s great to get an opportunity to get to see people and talk to people I don’t see very often." Laura Kortz praised the event, exclaiming, "This is the best social ever and Chrissie Peters rocks!"
For those of you who missed the fun, you can look forward to the next Midwinter Social, being held in Seattle next January. Until then, for those of you attending Annual in New Orleans, don’t forget about the 3M/NMRT Social! As we say in Louisiana, Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler, or Let the Good Times Roll!
