Greetings, NMRT members: It was great to see so many of you at Midwinter! For those of you who weren't able to attend, let me fill you in on a couple of NMRT highlights.
First of all, we have a terrific slate of candidates for the NMRT board: for VP/President Elect, Alice Daugherty and Deana Groves; for Secretary, Amanda Ros; for Leadership Director, Alexandra Tyle-Annen and Amy Harmon; for Member Services Director, Emily Love and Bob Wolverton. My thanks go to Andrew Jones and the rest of the Nominating Committee for pulling together such a strong group. I look forward to February's online candidate forum, where we'll get a chance to quiz the candidates. Elections will be open from March 17 to April 24, so please vote!
Members from the 3M/NMRT Social Committee and the Student Reception Committee met during the All Committees Meeting to discuss plans for the new Awards Reception at the Annual Conference in Chicago. I'm confident that even with our limited budget we'll be able to pull off a fun party. And speaking of awards, our two travel award committees, Shirley Olofson and 3M Grant, met via email to determine this year's winners. Stay tuned for announcements on nmrt-l.
