This webinar highlighted how public libraries in Ohio and Washington are engaging all members of their communities with relevant learning, through statewide access to LinkedIn Learning for Library.
Learn from Don Yarman, director of the Ohio Public Library Information Network (OPLIN) and Elizabeth Iaukea, workforce development librarian, State of Washington. Both Ohio and Washington rolled out statewide access to lyndaLibrary in 2018. They are now preparing their libraries for the migration to LinkedIn Learning for Library. Don and Elizabeth share their experiences in a moderated panel discussion with Julie Palmer of LinkedIn Learning Solutions.
LinkedIn courses cover everything from tip-of-the-spear technologies to basic computer literacy to photography, so there is something for every patron who wants to learn. There are more than 60 courses added each week. Connect your patrons to the skills companies are hiring for right now. You can provide access to relevant, in-demand skills, on a platform that patrons will use, love and apply.
Patrons will access to over 16,000+ online courses in seven languages—English, German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese, and Mandarin.
This webinar is presented as part of the Public Library Association (PLA) Skilling for Employment Post COVID-19 initiative. PLA and Microsoft are partnering to help libraries identify existing and new tools, such as LinkedIn, DigitalLearn, and more, for helping community members gain skills for jobs that are well positioned to grow in the future. For more information, visit the initiative’s webpage.
