Presenter
Ron Carlee is the chief operating officer of the International City/County Management Association, providing day-to-day oversight of ICMA operations, leading efforts to provide research and implementation tools to local government professionals, and partnering with foundations, government agencies, the private sector, universities, other associations, and nonprofit entities. He is also an adjunct professor of public policy & public administration at The George Washington University where he teaches graduate courses in leadership and local government. Before joining ICMA, Dr. Carlee worked for more than 30 years in local government in diverse, senior executive positions. From 2001 to 2009, he was county manager of Arlington, Virginia. Carlee has a doctorate in public administration and is a fellow in the National Academy for Public Administration.
