Membership Monday: Volunteer for PLA

eLearning
Webinar
Learn about PLA Committees and Advisory Groups and how to increase your chances of being selected.

Free and available exclusively to PLA members

Volunteering for a PLA Committee or Advisory Group is a great way to expand your professional development and impact the public library field. Learn more about the work of PLA’s Committees and Advisory Groups, the volunteer process and timeline, and what to include on your application to increase your chances of being selected.

Hosted on the first Monday of each month, Membership Mondays are virtual meetups where PLA members can hear from leaders within the association, discover ways to get involved, ask questions, share ideas, and grow their networks. Registration is free, but PLA membership is required.

  • Jen Baxter, Deputy Director, Live Oak Public Libraries (Savannah, GA)
  • Sonia Alcántara-Antoine, CEO, Baltimore County (MD) Public Library
  • Kacper Jarecki, Community Library Manager, Queens (NY) Public Library at Cambria Heights
