Membership Monday: Building Library Advocates

eLearning

Webinar

Be inspired by real-world examples to build your own community of library advocates.

Free and available exclusively to PLA members

Libraries are already doing the work of advocacy every day. Many times, engaging supporters starts with just a simple question: “How can I help you?” Members of PLA’s Advocacy and Strategic Partnerships Committee will lead this discussion and share examples of ways you can build a stronger, more resilient community of library supporters.

Typically hosted on the first Monday of each month, Membership Mondays are virtual meetups where PLA members can hear from leaders within the association, discover ways to get involved, ask questions, share ideas, and grow their networks. Registration is free, but PLA membership is required.

Panelists

  • Cathy Zimmerman, Executive Director, Association of Bookmobile and Outreach Services
  • Jennifer Weeks, County Librarian, Santa Clara County (CA) Library District
  • Jason Homer, Executive Director, Worcester (MA) Public Library
