Project Outcome Survey Results: Effective Communication Strategies

The second in a series of three webinars designed to help you turn your Project Outcome results into action. This on-demand webinar offers up communications strategies for library staff to use when delivering their Project Outcome results to internal and external audiences. Instructors

Crystal SchimpfCrystal Schimpf is a library training consultant and co-founder of Kixal, where she provides collaborative, transformative training for libraries and nonprofits. She has provided training on projects for the Urban Libraries Council’s Edge Initiative, the Public Library Association, TechSoup, the Colorado State Library, Community Technology Network, and the R-Squared Conference. Crystal is a degreed librarian with a passion for digital literacy and technology issues and has worked on many projects, programs, and services that require outcome measurement.

 

Julia CottrillJulia Cottrill is a vice president at GMMB, a strategic communications agency dedicated to issues that make real and lasting change. Julia is a lead writer and strategist for public library projects, including communications materials and support for Project Outcome. She has also managed advocacy support for grantees of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Global Libraries initiative, developing advocacy materials and helping grantees translate data into powerful messages.

 

Julia has nearly 10 years of issues‐based communications experience at GMMB, where she provides counsel and support, branding, messaging, meeting planning and facilitation, and grassroots outreach strategy for social change campaigns. She has worked with a variety of nonprofits, associations, and corporations on issues like education, maternal and child health, global tobacco control, diabetes, and adult and child nutrition. She received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
