The Public Library Association (PLA) is a division of the American Library Association (ALA).

ALA and PLA membership is managed by the ALA Member Relations & Services Center. Customer service representatives are available Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM Central. You can join or renew/rejoin/add to your membership several different ways:

1. Use ALA's secure online form;
2. Print and fill out a membership form and fax or mail it in; or
3. Call the ALA Member Relations & Services Center at 800-545-2433.
