NMRT President Amanda Roberts welcomed and informed new NMRT committee chairs and directors about their ‘06-‘07 duties. New positions and committees have been added this year, including the Marshall Cavendish committee and the appointment of Tanzi Merrit Sutton as Fundraising Coordinator. Amanda’s presidential theme this year is communication as she works to improve communication within NMRT and between NMRT and other ALA divisions and roundtables. The first task charged to new committee chairs and directors is to review and revise their information in the NMRT Handbook and website. Amanda also announced that she is collecting feedback and suggestions concerning NMRT from everyone for the 2007 Annual Membership meeting in Washington, DC. NMRT is still looking for committee volunteers and interested persons are encouraged to fill out the online committee volunteer form.
